Title :
2ND BLIZZARD BRAWL 8 REPORT & PHOTOS

Great Lakes Championship Wrestling presented Blizzard Brawl 8 in Waukesha, WI. It was a major success as I am estimating over 2,000 people filled the Expo Center.

Once the doors opened, the first stop was the VIP meet-and-greet with Terri Runnels, Kevin Nash and Hacksaw Jim Duggan. The line started early and wrapped around the building at its peak. The three wrestling legends took as much time as they could with each fan, often double-checking the photographs to make sure everyone was happy.
After that, we went table to table meeting all of the other wrestling legends. This had to be one of the largest collections of wrestling greats. We met Honkytonk Man, Larry Zbyszko, Demolition (Ax and Smash), Dakota Darsow, Robbie E., Too Cool (Rikishi, Scotty Too Hotty and Brian Christopher) and Al Snow. All of the lines moved fairly quickly, the prices were reasonable and the legends were very accommodating. I did not hear one complaint, nor did I expect any, because everything ran smoothly. We also saw a lot of wrestling talent from the Chicago area, including Eryn the Manager, Chazz Moretti, agent to the stars, and some of my friends from Resistance Pro Wrestling.

We were settled in our front row seats well before bell time. The crowd was lively without being obnoxious. I must point out that the ushers (or security) did a great job. They cleared a few straggler people away from the railing so that some wheelchair-bound people would have unobstructed views.

The card was a nice mix of legends and indy talent. It was cool seeing Moretti managing Ruff Crossing against Hacksaw Duggan. Melanie Cruise put on her usual great match with Scarlett Bordeaux. Al Snow beat Robbie E. in a slobber-knocker of a hardcore match. They brought Kevin Nash in the ring to present a Lifetime Achivement award. They also brought Larry Zbyszko to the ring to celebrate his birthday. Too Cool showed no ring rust as they teamed together for the first time in many years. Their opponents, Billy Gunn, Armando Estrada and Jay Bradley also worked well together, at least until Gunn succumbed to the "stinkface" from Rikishi. Too Cool ended the night with a little in-ring dancing as the crowd roared even louder.

We talked to several wrestlers and fans before and after the show and everyone was extremely pumped and pretty exhausted. Nobody could ask for anything more in a wrestling show. I salute David Herro, GLCW, all of the talent and even the fans for making this a fantastic event.
