An Oceanside man was killed early Friday when his vehicle struck a tree at an East Rockaway intersection, Nassau County police said.
Scott Epstein, 64, was driving west on Main Street at about 1:20 a.m. when he hit a tree in front of 269 Waverly Ave., police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Epstein was well known in the bodybuilding and pro wrestling industries, where he worked as a publicist since the 1970s for several stars, including former WWE champion "Superstar" Billy Graham and Olympic weightlifter and pro wrestler Ken Patera.
Condolences from loved ones and people in the wrestling industry were posted on his Facebook page Friday.
According to his website, Epstein also worked as an educator for 32 years, both as a New York City public school teacher and assistant principal. Since retiring in 2002, he has kept busy booking wrestling stars for conventions and autograph signings through his agency, Publicity Management Services.
