Wrestling Superstars Reunite This Weekend In Charlotte,
3-Day, 4-Night Fanfest Features Dozens Of NWA Legends!

The NWA Wrestling Legends Fanfest, three huge days and four nights featuring dozens of wrestling's legendary heroes and villains and a bevy of today's top superstars and future legends, returns this Thursday through Sunday, August 14-17, 2008 to the Hilton University Place Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Stars from the glory days of the National Wrestling Alliance converge on the Carolinas not only to renew old friendships but to rekindle old rivalries. All of the featured legends will be available to sign autographs and take photos with everyone. Lots of reminiscing about the "good ol' days" of wrestling, as well.

Those appearing at this year's fanfest weekend include featured legends Ole Anderson, "Nightmare" Ted Allen, Tommy Angel, Jack Brisco, Bob Caudle, Chris Cruise, Ted Dibiase, James J. Dillon, Jimmy Garvin and Precious, Rip Hawk, Sam Houston, Sir Oliver Humperdink, Mike Jackson, Paul Jones, Don Kernodle, Rocky Kernodle, Ivan Koloff, Rich Landrum, Magnum TA, Ken Patera, Thunderbolt Patterson, Rock Riddle, Buddy Roberts, Bruno Sammartino, Sandy Scott, George South, Baron Von Raschke, Bill White and Tommy Young.

This year's fanfest activities kickoff on this Thursday evening, August 14, with a VIP-only, roundtable question-and-answer session. Beginning at 8 p.m., we'll have a free-flowing, open discussion with VIPs and several of our featured legends in this first-time-ever roundtable Q&A, hosted by former WCW Worldwide TV show host Chris Cruise.

Daytime festivities center around the Autograph Stage and Photo Ops. This is your chance to get your photo taken with and the autographs of dozens of featured wrestling legends.

Fanfest is open Friday and Saturday 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Exhibitors from all over the country with all types of wrestling-related merchandise and memorabilia will be on hand each day. Many will have their own "booth guests" -- current or former wrestlers at their booths signing autographs and taking photos with fans. Road Warrior Animal, Kevin Sullivan, Ron Simmons, and Scott Hall are just a few of the many "booth guests" at fanfest this year. Our second annual Hall of Heroes dinner banquet and awards ceremony will take place from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Friday evening. Fans and legends come together for a tremendous buffet feast and to honor several distinguished guests. 2008 inductees are Paul Jones, Ivan Koloff, Thunderbolt Patterson, Buddy Roberts, Sandy Scott, Grizzly Smith and the late Johnny Weaver. Tickets for the Hall of Heroes dinner banquet and awards ceremony are sold out.

Our late-night Friday night Q&A guest will be none other than former wrestling great Magnum TA. Host Chris Cruise will get you up close and personal in this very special VIP-only question-and-answer session.

Former WWWF world champions Bruno Sammartino and "The Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff are icons in the sport. In addition to signing autographs and taking photos with fans (including a rare Photo Op of the two together,) the pair will be featured in a Sunday morning question-and-answer session, sharing stories about their historic battles and discussing their larger-than-life careers.

Two huge nights of live wrestling matches will be showcased at this year's fanfest weekend. Our VIP All Access Pass includes a reserved Ringside seat for BOTH nights' matches!
